Set Goals, Seek Solutions and Live Better

Understand. Heal. Thrive.

It’s time to rewire your brain, reorient your mind, and rewrite your life story

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders, affecting approximately 10 million adults and 6 million children. As symptoms may begin to appear in childhood, many individuals aren’t diagnosed with ADHD until reaching adulthood. Everyone is different, and symptoms may vary from person to person.

Some symptoms may include:

  1. Impulsiveness
  2. Disorganization and problems prioritizing
  3. Poor time management skills
  4. Problems focusing on a task
  5. Trouble multitasking and poor planning
  6. Excessive activity or restlessness
  7. Low frustration tolerance and frequent mood swings
  8. Problems following through and completing tasks
  9. Hot temper and trouble coping with stress

Those struggling with ADHD can have one or both types of symptoms, inattentive or hyperactive.

Inattentive ADHD: One who has inattentive ADHD symptoms may struggle with focusing or making careless mistakes. Difficulty following instructions, getting easily distracted, and disorganization may be common. Also, it could be easier to daydream, misplace important belongings, or fall into not managing time well.

Hyperactive ADHD: While someone could have inattentive symptoms, one could also have hyperactivity. This would look like fidgeting, being impatient, talking over or interrupting others in a conversation. Self-esteem, anger issues, and relationship struggles could be apparent as people with ADHD get older. Anxiety and depression may also be likely in adulthood with ADHD.
