I specialize in working with populations with rigid and negative thought patterns and working with individuals who have difficulties with interpersonal relationships, codependency, depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and low self-esteem, as well as helping people deal with and productively cope with various traumas that they have suffered through (ex: childhood trauma, relational trauma, familial/intergenerational trauma).
I believe in an integrative approach to therapy with an emphasis on psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theories as a means of understanding the patients underlying issues and the internal processes that perpetuate their distress in their daily lives. However, as for implementing gradual changes to alleviate these, I generally employ a behavioral approach in the forms of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)as a means to identify and modify specific maladaptive coping strategies and replace them with more productive ones, thereby facilitating a long-lasting sequence of change in my patients’ lives.
Furthermore, I am proficient in ERP (Exposure Response Prevention), solution-focused, person-centered, and relational therapy. I wholeheartedly believe in healthy collaboration between the therapist and the patient at all times, fostered by transparency on both sides. I have the most experience working with patients with OCD and neurodivergent populations, as well as working with patients with various personality disorders. I am determined to ensure that every one of my patients feels secure and safe within the therapeutic relationship and knows I am here to support them at all times. Your journey towards becoming a more confident, joyful, and healthier you is one that deserves all of our support here at MTG, and it would be my honor and pleasure to be a part of it.
