My approach is to help individuals foster and discover their best selves. Together we will address how to cope with stressors in everyday life in a judgment free space. Counseling is built around and for the client, and I want each individual to feel they are being heard. Nature versus nurture comes up a lot in our lives, where we do not know what percentage of each plays a factor in the decisions we make and the behaviors we exhibit. Personal growth is a passion point of mine, and together we will work on processing, adapting or improving upon different situations life may bring. Therapy is a space that can bring forth a variety of personal successes when working in a goal-oriented environment. I want to help individuals develop the tools they feel they need to succeed.
I specialize in evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solutions-oriented Therapy (SOT). I can alter my therapeutic approach depending on the situation each individual highlights in session. An ideal outcome we will work toward is to reinterpret the negative emotions individuals might be feeling from a tough circumstance in order to learn something new about themselves. Therapy can offer different perspectives on dealing with life’s stressors.
I know therapy is not an easy choice to make. However, there are many positive takeaways to gain from a supportive impartial perspective. I would like each client to feel they gained something out of each session, even if it is just someone to listen. Together we will measure personal development, achievements, and progress.
