I believe collaboration is the most important part of therapy. Therapy should be individualized for you, considering all parts of one’s identity and individual needs. I believe our diversity is what makes us truly special and we deserve a place where that can be seen. The therapeutic space can be a great place to begin exploring behavior patterns, identities, and so much more, all within the safety of the space we create together.
My approach to therapy is multimodal and incorporates a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through CBT and Narative Therapy, we learn to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns by retelling your life story, while ACT introduces mindfulness and acceptance practices. I believe this combination allows us to be holistic in our treatment of our specific needs and experiences.
