Therapy can be the first step in finding peace within yourself and reconnecting with your sense of purpose. It’s not just about resolving problems but about discovering who you truly are, and how knowing yourself can empower you to make meaningful changes in your thoughts, actions, and relationships.

When you step into a therapy session with me, you will be met with empathy, compassion, honesty, and sometimes humor. I believe the therapeutic process works best when it’s built on a foundation of trust, openness, and a genuine human connection. Therapy is a space where you can feel heard, validated, and supported as you explore your thoughts and emotions. My role is to guide you in unlocking the insights you may not yet see and helping you work toward a place of healing, growth, and self-empowerment.

My journey to becoming a therapist is deeply personal and has been shaped by both joy and profound loss. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, and part of what drives me in this work is my commitment to supporting marginalized communities and continually educating myself to better serve others. It was in my own times of struggle that I came to fully appreciate the power of therapy.

My own healing and growth strengthened my desire to help others find their path to peace. I’ve learned that therapy works best when there is motivation within the client and an openness to change. I see my role as a guide, helping you uncover new perspectives and celebrate the successes, big or small, that may be lost in the midst of current challenges. It’s about discovering your own strength and resilience, helping you work through difficult emotions, and creating a space where you can heal and reach your desired goals.

I practice an integrative approach to therapy, combining elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. This approach allows me to tailor my work to your unique needs, and it can be effective for a range of concerns, including grief, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction, LGBTQ+ issues, and couples therapy. My ultimate goal is to help you feel empowered in your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. This academic pursuit is the culmination of a lifelong passion for understanding the human experience and providing meaningful support to those in need. Before transitioning into the field of mental health counseling, I spent many years as a firefighter, which was an incredibly rewarding experience and taught me the importance of resilience, teamwork, and community. Additionally, I have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, where I helped guide young people as they integrated into adulthood, focusing on careers, relationships, and self-advocacy.

These experiences have given me a broad understanding of how mental health intersects with life’s many challenges, and have shaped me into the empathetic, attentive, and compassionate therapist I am today.
Outside of work, I’m a firm believer in the importance of balance, and I make sure to prioritize my own well-being. I enjoy staying active through fitness, particularly working out and playing recreational sports like volleyball, baseball, and kickball. Live music is one of my greatest passions, and I love discovering new artists and enjoying performances in my free time. Travel is also something that brings me great joy. I enjoy learning about new cultures, exploring different places, and gaining new perspectives that deepen my understanding of the world.

Above all, I believe that life is about connection, both with others and with oneself, and that the process of personal growth is ongoing. My goal is to help you on your path, whether you’re navigating a difficult life transition, looking to heal from past wounds, or simply trying to understand yourself better. Together, we can explore your unique journey, uncover your strengths, and work toward a future that is fulfilling and authentic to who you truly are.
