Therapy is a unique and tailored experience to each individual; my goal is to create a safe space to process thoughts, emotions and unlock your inner potential. Together we can create a space to acknowledge and embrace all aspects of who you are, as you are. I am committed to meeting a client where they are at and finding unique tools to provide each client with the treatment they need. I aim to foster a safe, open, and exploratory environment for individuals to express themselves.
My approach is a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and acceptance focused approaches. Through CBT, we’re able to learn, identify and challenge negative thought patterns. DBT allows the use of skill building to foster increased inter and intrapersonal skills. Acceptance helps to engage in mindfulness.
Together we can collaborate to reframe negative thought processes, foster and engage in new coping skills and thought patterns to enact change, as well as increase our overall understanding of our perceptions and the frames they construct within our lives. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, create a safe space for you to exist as you are, and to work towards self improvement and self actualization.
I am currently finishing up my masters degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Victim Services at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse population in the Juvenile Justice Commission, where I gained experience in psychoeducation, community outreach, crisis intervention and acceptance based practices.
Everyone deserves quality mental health care at an affordable price.
